54 ethnicities living together brings along a mass diversity for such a small country as Vietnam. From north to south, there are clear changes in cultural and traditions, yet there also exist similarities in details that would be a delight to discover.
Tour route: Hanoi – Sapa – Halong Bay – Hue – Hoi An – Ho Chi Minh City
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
Greeted by our guide and driver. Check-in the hotel and rest for the day.
Day 2: Hanoi City Tour (B/L)
Spend a full day exploring Hanoi’s history and culture, visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh Museum and house-on-stilt, and Temple of Literature. Walk around Old Quarter and feel the traditional Hanoi. Afternoon, visit Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, followed by a trip to Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. Conclude this day with a water puppet performance before returning to the hotel.
Day 3: Hanoi – Sa Pa Trekking (B/L)
After breakfast, the tour bus takes you from Hanoi to Sa Pa. Once arrived, we start hiking through mountain landscape, terraced paddy fields and local houses. In the afternoon, visit Sa Pa town and local market. Trek to Cat Cat village, admire breath taking nature beauty and chat with local people. Back to hotel in Sa Pa for overnight.
Day 4: Sa Pa Trekking – Hanoi (B/L)
After breakfast, visit Lao Chai and Ta Van Villages, home to Black H’mong and Dzao people. This is an absolutely spectacular walk through stunning scenery inhabited by some of the friendliest people you can meet.
Afternoon, we return to Hanoi by car. Relax at the hotel
Day 5: Hanoi – Duong Lam Village (B/L)
After breakfast in Hanoi, travel west to visit Duong Lam ancient village, where many hundred-year-old houses are still preserved. Visit Mong Phu temple and talk with the locals in their ancient houses. Also pay respect in Mia Pagoda, and temples dedicated to national heroes Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung. Back to Hanoi and rest.
Day 6: Hanoi – Hue (B/L)
Check out hotel, say farewell to Hanoi, and transfer to the airport to fly to Hue ancient capital. Rest and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, explore the charming Hue, visiting the Imperial Citadel. Taking wooden boat cruising along Huong River to visit Thien Mu pagoda. Back to hotel and rest.
Day 7: Hue – Hoi An (B/L)
Transfer from Hue to Hoi An along the Hai Van Pass and visit Marble Mountain on the way. Explore Hoi An highlights such as Japanese Bridge, Phuc Kien Hall, old house Tan Ky, and Museum of History and Culture. Rest at the hotel.
Day 8: My Son Holy Land – Danang – Flight to Ho Chi Minh City (B/L)
Morning visit My Son Holy Land, the old capital of Champa kingdom, with dozens of tower temples and monuments built between 4th and 15th centuries. Afternoon, fly to Ho Chi Minh city. Check-in the hotel and rest for the day.
Day 9: Cao Dai Temple – Cu Chi Tunnels Day Trip (B/L)
Morning transfer to visit Cao Dai Temple – the Holy See of Caodaism, a religion born and developed in Vietnam. Afternoon, travel to Cu Chi Tunnels. Have fun crawling around this massive network of underground tunnels. Back to Ho Chi Minh city and rest.
Day 10: Mekong Delta Fullday Excursion (B/L)
Full day exploring Mekong Delta, with visit to Cai Be floating market and coconut candy workshops, boat ride along the small canals, bike trip around a village and a good time at a local orchard. Return to hotel and rest.
Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City Tour – Free Shopping (B/L)
Today visit Ho Chi Minh city’s biggest tourist attraction – Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, Opera House, Reunification Palace, and War Remnants Museum. Shopping as you like in Cho Lon – the Chinatown of Saigon and Ben Thanh market.
Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City Departure (B)
Free at leisure until transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
